Kollywood to receive the Padma Shri award

Not been able to win anything at the recent ceremony for his remarkable acting in the back "Vinglish" French movie (2012), Sridevi will be pleased to learn that it is in line for a Padma Shri honor.

It is yet to be confirmed, the reports say that Sridevi was aligned for the award alongside Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore. Reports of NDTV, Khanna and Tagore, who played together in such films as "Arianna" (1969) and Amar Prem (1971), will receive the Padma Bhushan, India would the third highest civilian honour. Rajesh Khanna died in July last year and the award will be presented posthumously.

Actress Sridevi will receive should the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour.

The official list of awards is announced later today.
